Job Description/Duties

  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate students, research assistants and interns in various laboratory, greenhouse and field experiments.
  • Maintain laboratory and greenhouse equipment.
  • Maintain and assist the allocation of funds from several grants.
  • Hire and mentor undergraduate students.
  • Purchase equipment and supplies.
  • Operate Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry, N evaporator, freeze drier, digital microscope, centrifuge and sonicators.
  • Write and/or maintain protocols for root staining, fatty acid extractions, hyphal bag production/extraction, autoclaving, biomass drying/density.
  • Assisting in field and greenhouse experimental design, setup and data analyses.
  • Fatty acid data analysis for multiple universities throughout the USA.

  • B.S: Biology, Northeastern State University; Tahlequah, Okla.
  • M.S.: Natural Resource Ecology and Management, Oklahoma State University; Stillwater, Okla.
