| Research Interests: |
| My interests are in primate conservation, ecology, and psychology. I spent the first part of 2003 and 2006 surveying a small forest fragment in east Africa; the Kasokwa Forest Reserve. Within this fragment live a community of fifteen chimpanzees, and many species of monkeys. Surrounding the fragment is a large sugarcane factory that has separated Kasokwa from the main forest block; the Budongo Forest. The forest continues to be degraded due to agricultural expansion, and human resource use. I am interested in studying conflicts that arise from human encroachment, and the dangers of living in close proximity to apes. |
