Ed Miller is a Professor in Forest Hydrology and Natural Resource Administration.  He formerly served as the Associate Dean for Academic Programs for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources from 1999 to 2012.  He moved to this position after serving as head of the Department of Forestry from 1989 to 1999. In 2006 Ed’s academic appointment was moved to the newly created Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management.

Ed served as Interim Dean and Director of the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources in 2005 and as Interim Head of the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering in 2000.

Academic Interests:
Dr. Miller’ interests include:

  • Water quality, watershed hydrology and stream and streamside management associated with forest management and forest operations.
  • Natural resource administration and policy, and
  • Undergraduate Environmental Science Program Faculty member and advisor

Administrative and professional Activities
Ed is a member and Fellow in the Society of American Foresters. He serves as Chair of the Oklahoma Board of Registration for Foresters. He currently teaches the undergraduate and graduate courses in hydrology and watershed management, natural resource administration and policy, and the Environmental Science Capstone course sequence.
